In February 2009, STARS has been awarded a contract by the Civil Aviation Authorities of Singapore (CAAS) to develop the new Aviation Fuel farm.

The new state-of-the-art depot was built from a greenfield site within a span of just about six months and encompasses many features such as environmental, safety and security considerations. The planning considerations also ensured the relocation from the old fuel did not disrupt operations of the airport. The new depot was designed by STARS in-house engineering team which also oversaw the entire project from conceptualisation to HAZOPS analysis, and from construction to commissioning.

As the masterplanner and developer, it is JTC’s vision to develop SAP into a world-class aerospace park.

The new fuel depot development cost over S$6 million for the allocated area of 1.07 Ha.

The new fuel depot in Seletar Aerospace Park (SAP) was officially opened on On 29 Jan 2010.
